Prvé skúšky CAMBRIDGE ESOL sa v E - KU konali začiatkom decembra, a to už vo vlastnej réžii. E - KU má výsadné postavenie v NR kraji ako jediné autorizované centrum pre skúšky CAMBRIDGE ESOL. Pre členov skúšobných komisií bolo určite prekvapením, že k nám zavítal inšpektor vyslaný z Viedne, aby prekontroloval, či dodržiavame na skúškach správny postup. Ako prvé ho zaujímalo uloženie "papierových" skúšok v trezore. Potom bol prítomný na skúškach a sledoval postup našich kolegov - "examinátorov". Po ukončení inšpekcie nám okrem hodnotenia bolo zaslané toto blahoželanie:
